Lauren Schatzley '23 Recruiting Profile

My passion for soccer started at a young age. I grew up watching my older siblings play and fell in love with the game as soon as I kicked my first soccer ball.  I always strive to be the best version of myself, whether it be academically or athletically. While taking honors courses,  I have maintained a 4.0 GPA. I plan to study Health Science or Nursing in college because I want to help others.  I have had many people help me come back from an injury and I want to give back. I missed most of my 2019 Spring season because of a broken femur. The hardest part was watching the rest of my teammates play the game I love. Once I was able to play again, I persevered and worked extremely hard to get back to the game. Every day since then, I have strived to be even better than I was before and I won't stop until I achieve my goal of playing soccer in college.
