Leaving a school where I was succeeding in both academics and athletics was very hard, but I learned a lot about myself when I made the switch to a boarding school in Ohio. As I took a second freshman year at the more challenging school, I learned how to set goals and how to work hard to achieve them. I am currently going into my junior year, where I will continue to work hard in the three varsity sports that I have been a part of since freshman year.
Playing multiple sports has taught me that teamwork is key. I am fortunate to be a part of three sports where every member of the team shares a passion for the game they play. I become motivated and eager to play for my teammates, and I work extremely hard as I perform at the best of my abilities in every game. I have especially shown these traits on the soccer field for I became captain of my high school team during part of my sophomore year and will continue captaining my junior year. Also, this past season, I made the All-Ohio second team with 23 goals and 13 assists. My many years of club soccer, club basketball, high school varsity soccer, basketball, and lacrosse, have given me the tools I can use to succeed in women's soccer at the collegiate level. I want to show coaches that I have the drive, the work ethic, and the characteristics of a true teammate to play soccer for them in college.
