StancePersonal Statement
My name is Maya Rusnak and I am the Varsity goalkeeper at Padua Franciscan High School located in Parma, Ohio and I also play for Team Challenger FC 01 club team. At the end of my 2017 season I had the opportunity to be nominated and honored as a District All Greater Cleveland Honorable Mention.
Academically I obtain a 3.5 GPA and have been on the honor roll for 3 consecutive years. I am also very involved in my school community, I am in Padua’s Ambassador Program and very involved in Spanish Club.
As my final year as a high school student comes to end I am looking for a school that would not only benefit my athletic career but my academic career as well. I am looking for a school that offers degrees in Athletic Training and/or Exercise Science. I am not limited by geographic location but access to financial aid will be very important in my decision making process.
As a player, I believe I exhibit great leadership qualities on and off the field. I find my role as a goalkeeper as an important part of the team success and strive to improve communication.

- This program is intended to prepare college goalkeepers for their upcoming preseasons, and help the more serious and advanced high school goalkeepers understand what it takes to play at the collegiate level. Focus will be on mastering advanced technique, maximizing fitness and athletic gains, and reinforcing good habits and strong decision-making process. Expect a demanding environment and progressive curriculum that will cover all areas of goalkeeping and see you hit your max confidence, top sharpness, and peak fitness right as you are heading into preseason camp.
