Hello, I am Marie Gluth. I first started playing soccer when I was in the third grade. At first, I only started because all my friends were playing, but as I started playing around, I felt a connection with the sport. Ever since the third grade, I have been playing year round soccer with my school team and club team. Throughout my years of playing soccer, I have come to realize that I am very competitive, I love to win and perfect new skills I am taught. If I am given a challenge, I am determined to work and perfect whatever that challenge may be. I also like to put my own little twist on skills after I have the basics down pat. One of my biggest obstacles in soccer was getting comfortable playing other positions outside of the goal. As I gained more experience and got outside of my comfort zone, I became stronger on the field, it also improved my goal keeping skills as well.
Academically, my goals for high school are to remain the highest GPA possible, start college classes, and be one of the top students in my class. In athletics, my goal is to be seen as a leader to others, that goes for academics as well. I want to continue to grow as an athlete with my teammates and make it to the state playoffs. I am also working to break a few school records individually and with my team as well. My goals for the future is to get into a college that is the best match for me, academically and athletically. I hope to find a school that also challenges me to work at my best ability on and off the field.
