During the US Youth Soccer Region III Championships my team and I found ourselves down 3-1 with twelve minutes left in the match. Trying to stay positive and encouraging my teammates to do the same I happened to feel a sense of hopelessness from the girls. This is when I decided I needed to step up and be the leader every team needs. I received the ball on the outside of the field and dribbled down the line, beating two of the opposing teams players, and I took my shot. With the score now standing at 3-2 I encouraged my team to give it their all. We then tied the game up, went into double overtime, and ended up winning the game in penalty kicks and that win punched our ticket to the National Championships. This game was a very important turning point, not only in my soccer career, but in life as well. This led me to believe that if your work hard and stay positive you can do anything, even with a few bumps in the road.
With that said I would love to continue to help and push others, as well as myself, to do their best and grow to their greatest potential on and off the field. Finding the college that is a best fit for me athletically and academically is very important. I feel as though I will not only make a great impact on a college team, but on the college program itself. I know that with my leaderships skills, dedication, and my ability to get the job done that i will be a great fit to any team and or college that comes my way.
