Victoria Martins '22 Recruiting Profile

I have always believed in working hard.  I give 100% of myself to whatever I do, whether it be my academics or my play on the pitch.  I pride myself on being the co-captain of my team for the last 5 years.  I lead by example and encourage my team both on and off the pitch.  I have a high soccer IQ and one of my key attributes on the field is my voice.  I help calm my players when we are in a game and help them see the possibilities that are being presented to us on the pitch.  I am also a physical player who uses my body to win balls and I never back down.  I am defensively-minded but like to move up the pitch and help produce goal-scoring opportunities.  I do not take short cuts.  When it comes to practice, I give 110% as I feel that the way we attack our practice translates to how we play in games.  I am constantly challenging myself.  I am currently enrolled in the Extended French Program at my school which adds an extra layer of difficulty but I feel that the ability to communicate in two languages gives me an added advantage in life.
