Dear possible future coach,
The highlight of my soccer career so far was when my team traveled to Dallas, Texas to compete in a showcase tournament. Even though we were not very successful as a team, playing against these very talented teams taught me that team connection and trust is very important. My collegiate goals are to play for a high level women's soccer team. I would also like to continue to improve my soccer skills and hopefully be drafted into the NWSL where I can showcase my skills and leadership so I could have the chance to play on an international team. I would like to take sciences in university, in hopes to become a surgeon in the future. Another goal I have is to become inspirational to young girls who love this sport. I am a good candidate for your team because I am very focused, passionate, and motivated about everything I do. I also am a great leader who pushes everyone to do their very best. I am currently one of my club team's captains, and served as a captain during my freshman year on a varsity team. I always am pushing myself to do better in everything I do whether it is in school, soccer, or other sports. As a freshman I made it onto the junior basketball team despite the fact, that the only basketball I had played was on my elementary school team. I decided to try out because it was a challenge and I wanted to get better at something that I was not super confident in. By listening to what my coaches told me I became a leader who knows what they are doing on the basketball court as well as being a leader on the soccer field. I am also very kind, caring, and have great sportsmanship too. I am a solid centre back who tries her very best each and every game. When I play soccer I am also very vocal, I help direct the team as a unit by communicating things like, "shift", "drop", or "push up". I also give direction to individual players during games. I would be a good candidate because my academic abilities are very high and I always make sure that my school comes before everything else. Finally, I feel I would be a good member of your women's soccer team because I am a well rounded person.
Thanks for your time,
Chandra Philips
