Playing soccer has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it’s next to impossible to picture my life without the sport that I love. Over the years of playing competitive soccer, I have learned the importance of perseverance and determination, and I have grown to appreciate that the obstacles we face, which sometimes seem like stumbling blocks, only make you work harder. Giving up is not an option for me.
There are several standout moments for me as a player, where I felt the joy of success with my teammates, such as playing in the quarter finals of the Gothia Cup, being finalists in the New York City Showcase, and most recently, winning the WAGS tournament. On a personal level, I saw the results of my dedication and hard work, as I was invited to the national tryouts for the USA Youth Futsal team after a successful state ID trial. All of these experiences have solidified for me that I have the capability and drive to continue playing soccer at a highly competitive level.
I want to attend a university that has high standards and a strong reputation, for both academics and athletics, as I hold myself accountable to a very high degree of performance. I believe that I would be an asset to any university soccer team, not only for my strong technical skills, but also due to the fact that over the years, I have been described by many of my coaches as an extremely coachable player, with the right attitude, work ethic, and mental fortitude to be successful in any situation. As a multi-sport athlete, I have learned how to effectively balance my school work and athletic commitments with my strong time management and organizational skills. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better, and I look forward to being able to contribute to your team’s success!
