Madeleine Miskimmin '21 Recruiting Profile

I first kicked a soccer ball at three years old and joined my first team while in kindergarten. As a young player, coaches would comment on how much I smiled when I had an opportunity to run with the ball.

I have played school soccer at all levels (junior, middle and high school varsity), competitively for a number of clubs, and most recently for a traveling academy.  My football has been described as ‘fast and physical’ and I have been told I am a good passer.  I believe these attributes are evident in my highlight video.

The beautiful game has been a significant part of my life for 13 years and has certainly given me a lot:

• I have been mentored by a number of dedicated coaches, whose genuine interest in my development and overall well-being has been humbling. I have and will continue to appreciate their efforts.

• I have had the opportunity to play with some outstanding young women, many of whom I consider my closest friends. Recently, I was honoured to be elected co-captain by my Genesis teammates.

• I am better on a personal level – physically stronger, more disciplined and focused, and with a greater ability to take instruction and accept criticism.

For these reasons, I would very much appreciate the opportunity to play soccer at the college level. As a team player with a strong work ethic and good grades – current cumulative GPA is 3.8 / 4.0 – I believe I could be an asset to your program both on and off the field.
