Aurora Hammerstedt '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Aurora Hammerstedt. I’m 18 years-old and currently in a gap year. I play with a scholarship team called Toronto Blizzard. I have experience playing against many university teams in the U.S with my club. 

In regards to my character, I am an open-minded and patient individual who welcomes new experiences.  

On the pitch, I am a versatile defender who can play in multiple positions. I’m easily coachable as I like to understand different perspectives that can improve my game and how my team can connect with the ball. I have a calm character on the pitch and I believe that this mindset is an influence to the result of the game. 

In the classroom, I take a creative approach to projects, tests, and quizzes. Looking at how to complete tasks through different lenses keeps me diligent and aids in my perseverance.

I am looking to study nursing with a minor in French or Spanish. My goal in university is to pursue my passion academically by exploring new topics, approaches to study, and surrounding myself with new environments. I intend to continue to develop athletically as a soccer player at a higher level.
