Hello, My name is Gracie Taggart and I am a 2021 graduate with a 4.0 GPA who is a dedicated and passionate soccer player looking to continue to play at high levels. I believe I have the work ethic, dedication, and commitment to get me there. I currently play for the Windsor Eastside Kickers. My primary position is an attacking/holding center-mid, however, I also have experience in both left and right winger/striker. I feel that my biggest strength is my field awareness. As a center-mid I understand the importance of knowing where you and your teammates are on the field at all times. I also have speed, good ball control and the ability to beat players in a 1v1 to create scoring opportunities for myself or for my teammates (see my highlight video!).
My strong work ethic and dedication do not only apply to soccer. I have been able to balance my academics with soccer for a long time now and am pretty proud of my dedication to both. I was awarded top student-athlete in grade school and have made honor roll each year of high school. I am looking to continue to balance my academics with high level soccer as I go into post secondary school.
Educationally, I am looking to challenge myself and hope to one day be involved in the leading edge of scientific research and/or medical advances. For my future, I want to pursue a career I can be passionate about and make a difference in many people's lives, whether it be through advances in genetics, or STEM cell research. As a very driven athlete and student, I aspire to be above average and always try and give my absolute best with any tasks/challenges that I am faced with. I am hopeful to be able to continue to play soccer alongside furthering my education at a University/College that best fits my needs.
