My name is Rut Castro González and I am an international student form Spain. I am currently coursing Grade 11 at W.F. Herman Secondary Highschool and I play soccer for the Eastside Kickers 02 Girls in Windsor. The fact that I am polyglot (Spanish, Galician, English and a little bit of French) and my average of 94 makes me different from other candidates. I have the European soccer style on the field: intelligence before strength, and that is what makes me a good player. I am pretty short and difficult to defend because of my speed: I've always been the fastest in my teams and league, but I also now how to slow down the rhythm of the game. That is my strongest point along with my decisive passes and game reading/interpretation.
In Spain we don't have even half of the opportunities for athletes that you offer here. Playing soccer is my hobby but I can also see it as something else, of course I am not a perfect player or incredibly good but I understand and can guess that you are not looking for that; you are looking for people that have the "skills" but also has the capacity of learning so there is place for improvement, and that is me: I learn incredibly fast and I know how to take advantages of my opportunities in life, and this would be an awesome one.
