I have been playing soccer since the age of 5. I went to a small catholic grade school where I played soccer, basketball, and cross country. I also played for a local club, BTBSA for many years. In 9th grade I started my first season playing cup soccer with my former team FC Pittsburgh (3 seasons). I now play for Pittsburgh Riverhounds RDA East. My freshman year of high school I started for our JV soccer team and was able to improve for my sophomore year. In my sophomore year, when given the option to be double rostered, or varsity only I chose to be double rostered so I could advance my skills, and I ended up starting some games and playing mostly varsity. My junior year I was a varsity starter as an outside back, and received a Defender of the Year award by my coach, and was voted to the all section team. Working hard and getting better at soccer and my other sports has always been a passion of mine. Playing soccer has become a way for me to expresss myself, make new friends, and find my voice. I am not always the most outspoken person, until you get to know me, so being on a team with people who care about each other and care about soccer equally is very important to me.
