Cecelia Wolford '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Cecelia Wolford.  I am a current Junior (2026 Grad) attending the Butler Area School District (Pennsylvania) and I currently play club for Steel City FC's 2008 Elite 64 team out of Pittsburgh.  I have been playing soccer since I was four years old.  As I have tried and played many sports, soccer is my love.  

As a leader on my soccer team, I take pride in my ability to inspire and elevate those around me through my commitment and enthusiasm. My dedication to the sport is evident in my consistent effort both on and off the field, where I lead by example and demonstrate the importance of hard work and perseverance. Whether it's arriving early for practice, pushing myself to achieve personal goals, or staying late to help a teammate work on  their skills, my actions reflect a deep-seated passion for soccer and a genuine desire to contribute to the team's success.

Equally important is my strategic mindset and problem-solving skills enable me to guide the team through complex situations and critical moments during matches. By analyzing the pace and play of the game and making quick, informed decisions, I can help our team adapt and stay competitive. My ability to remain composed under pressure and to encourage strategic thinking in high-stakes scenarios ensures that we are well-prepared and focused. Overall, my leadership is defined by a combination of dedication, empathy, and drive, which helps to push our team towards excellence and unity.
