Hi! My name is Mykenzie Riggle. I am a junior at Armstrong Jr Sr High School in Kittanning, PA. I plan to play soccer at the collegiate level because soccer has always been a huge part of my life. I've played since I was 5 and I don't want to give that up once I graduate high school. The thing that sets me apart from other student athletes is my will to work harder to become the best version of myself. Rather its on the field or in the classroom, I always give 110%.
I am currently the outside back/ center back for Hotspurs, my classic cup team. I also was a starter and captain of the Varsity Soccer team at my high school as a sophomore. Even though I primarily play defense, I have played other positions as well and am a quick learner. I am open to try a new position if it benefits my team.
To tell you more about my school life, I currently have a 4.32 GPA because of my weighted classes. This fall, I will begin taking more gifted honors and AP classes. I am also very involved around my school. The clubs I have been and am currently in are Student Council, Sadd Club, Key Club, Environmental Conservation Club, Sophomore Class Cabinet, Leo Club, and Newspaper. I believe being in all these extracurricular clubs have helped learn how to juggle many things at one time.
I strive to push myself in the school because I have big goals for myself as I hope to major in Biology/ pre-med and later go onto medical school and become a surgeon. I feel soccer has helped shape me into the person I am today by teaching me from a young age, if you want to be better you need to push yourself and work harder. I am hoping all of my hard work on and off the field will help me achieve my collegiate goals.
