Hello, my name is Rylee Retherford. I love sports, and I love to compete. I have been a three-sport athlete for the last six years. My biggest goal has always been to play soccer at the collegiate level. It took a little bit of persuading from my parents at first, but ever since I started playing in 4th grade, my passion for the sport has grown. I am a dedicated and determined athlete who is willing to put in the work to get better.
“Attitude and Effort” is the motto I play by because those are the only two things you can control on and off the field. I strive to be the best player I can be on the field and the best student I can be in the classroom. Soccer has taught me a lot of things, and one of those things is to be able to overcome battles. Throughout my freshman and sophomore years of high school, I’ve had many injuries, but I didn’t let that stop me. I put in long and hard work to come back a stronger and better player. Soccer has shaped me into the athlete I am today, and I’m ready to see where it takes me next.
