I have been playing soccer ever since I was 5 years old. Soccer became a serious part of my life when I was 10 and started playing on the Moon travel team. Soccer has helped me realize that I can do anything if I work hard enough. I was a defender, but once opponents were bigger than me I was not longer suited to the position. I was less that 100lbs and under 5 feet tall until the end of my freshman year. I trained hard on the field and with a strength trainer to become a better attacker. Now I play left wing for both my high school and club team. I played JV my first year of high school soccer, but sophomore year I was a starter and voted offensive player of the year by my teammates.
My goals for high school are to get a good academic foundation with honors classes, AP classes and a GPA over 4.0. In college I am interested in studying in the fields of math and science. Many of my family members are successful in math or science careers, which has helped support my decision. I enjoy learning and broadening my horizon in these areas. I have also been influenced by my strength trainer, who is a doctorate in sports medicine. He has helped to show me what his job consists of and helped me realize what jobs may be the best for for me.
