My name is Kylie Heath, I'll be graduating from Souderton Area High School in the spring of 2016. I am an honors/AP student and I am a current member of Student Council and National Honor Society. The work ethic that I put into my studies is just the same as what I put into my training and game play. I had been given the opportunity to play on my high schools varsity team as a swing player my freshman year and a starter my sophomore and junior year. I was captain of the JV team my freshman year and was awarded JV Offensive Player of the Year and as a sophomore I was awarded Varsity Offensive Player of the Year. I have been a varsity starter the last 2 years. I am currently playing club soccer for Dave Pettican on FC Europa Sol 97 where I have been recently named captain. Some of the things I have learned over the many years I have played are the importance of teamwork, effort and dedication to your team and your coach. I have been playing soccer for most of my life and have pushed myself to work hard. I have also sought the help of my coaches and trainers to personally make myself better.
I am also very dedicated to my school work, I am currently taking all honors and AP classes. My goal after high school is to attend college and graduate school some form of science (Medicine, nursing, teaching). I am taking classes in high school that will prepare me for the rigorous classes that I will need to take in college.
Outside of soccer and school I participate in a strength and conditioning program. My game has benefited from the training because I have become faster, stronger and more in shape. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends as they are all a big influence on my life. My family is a huge support system for me academically and athletically. The majority of my close friends are athletes and we like to attend each others games for support and school spirit.
When I began to play soccer as a little girl, my dream was to become a collegiate athlete. Now that I am older, my dream has become an achievable goal and from this moment on, I will continue to work to become the athlete and student that would fulfill that dream. As the time for college quickly approaches, I look back on my life as a soccer player and can truly say that I am blessed to play the game I love so much. I can only imagine what the future can hold for my academic and soccer aspirations.
