Alyssa Hooten '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Alyssa Hooten and I am an attacking center midfielder from the Pocono Mountain East high school varsity team. I currently play for Keystone Athletics which is my all year round club team. I have been playing soccer since I was four years old and immediately fell in love with the game as a child. I grew up playing soccer with my identical twin sister by my side which increased my competitiveness and passion for the game since we are so competitive with each other. Soccer has helped me through so many tough times since I can forget about the outside world and focus on improving my skills and bringing them to the games. I am a very coachable player with strengths of speed, shooting and finishing, footskills, and seeing the whole field while creating plays. I enjoy every single minute I get to play soccer whether it is a scrimmage, practice, or especially competing against my team's biggest rivals. I cannot imagine not playing a sport I am so passionate about which is why I want to continue my soccer career at a collegiate level. I am looking for a school that shares the same competitiveness and passion as I have for soccer and is competitive with both academics and athletics and also has a good balance between both. I would like to attend a university with outstanding biology and science programs, as biology is my intended major.
