My name is Ashley Dietz. I attend Eastern York High School and will graduate in the class of 2015. Soccer has been a part of my life since I was six. I have played rec, travel and high school, both indoor and outdoor. Although I have not played any club soccer my confidence in my game is evident. As a junior I led the team in goals and assists. I am very hardworking and self-motivated. I am a fierce competitor on the field and enjoy competition at any level. What I might lack in size, I make up with endurance and speed. I have great breakaway speed and love to attack the goalie. I have two strong feet. I'm right dominant, but my left is just as strong. I have good field vision, always looking for a good pass. I am a two sport Varsity athlete, lettering in basketball my sophomore and junior years and soccer my freshman, sophomore and junior years. I've played AAU basketball for three years. I led my high school basketball team in assists my junior year. Leading my soccer and basketball team in assists shows that I am a TEAM player.
My goal has always been to play collegiately. I have aspirations to obtain a degree in elementary education and special Ed. I would love the opportunity to play soccer while pursuing my academic goals. Along with that, I am a team leader and try to set an example for the rest of my peers, on and off the field. I am a great encourager and try to offer positive motivation to my teammates as well. I was always taught that attitude is a choice we make. My mom always said that attitude plays a huge role in performance and that a positive attitude and hustle will go a long way. I've learned through playing sports that keeping a positive attitude not only reflects on my performance, but reflects on my teammates. It's like the saying goes, "You can't play like a champion unless you think like one." My personality makes me coachable and I desire criticism to make me a stronger student athlete.
