Personal Statement

I started playing soccer at 4 years old, and honestly, I'm pretty sure that's because I couldn't start earlier.  I think that the most important thing that this sport has teached me is that being focus, serious and believing in myself are the key to achieving my goals. I strongly believe that training and practicing on my own are what helped me the most getting at the level I'm at now.  Also, what made me mature quicker than a lot of girls my age is that I left my hometown and my family at only 13 years old to go play soccer in Montreal (435 miles away from my home). That's how I learned how to push myself, how to motivate myself, how I became more responsible and how I learned how to take care of myself.  As a soccer player, I have plenty of skills, speed and a great vision, which is how I create a lot of chances to score. I'm also able to put the ball in the net when I have the opportunity to. Plus, I'm really good at dealing with pressure.

I've achieved a lot of things over the years. I think that the first big thing was in 2012, when I won the title of the most technical u10 girl in all Quebec. I also got to represent my province as I was chosen to be on Team Quebec u14 and u15 and so I played a total of 6 games against the Ontario team, 3 games against Team Nova-Scotia, and finally, 3 games against the British-Columbia team. I made assists in some of those games. Also, at school, when I was only in  sophomore year, I won first place in the 10 km (6,2 miles) run contest as I did it in 51 minutes. In my first year of AAA soccer, I was the one who made the most assists through the whole season and I scored a total of 9 goals.  This summer(2019), I'm playing in the Quebec u17AAA league.

I would like to go to College in the United States of America because I would love to keep on playing soccer at the best level possible while I'm studying.
