Gracie Kauffman '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer for 9 years, from town rec/travel teams, to premier/club teams, to proudly playing for my middle and high school teams. I am fortunate to have terrific coaches and amazing teammates, who have contributed to my success as a player and our shared success as teams. I am currently a starting attacking mid-fielder for the East Greenwich High School Varsity Girls Soccer Team and an attacking/holding mid-fielder for the RI Surf 2005 Girls Elite club team.

Key Highlights

1. Fall 2022: Captain of the East Greenwich High School women's soccer team.
2. Spring 2022: Development Player League (DPL) Northeast Division Champions (RI Surf 2005 Girls Elite)
3. Fall 2021: Providence Journal - RI Second Team All-State, First Team All-Division
4. Spring 2021: Named to the RI Surf Team of the Week three times in Spring 2021 season (twice as a mid-fielder, once as a forward)
5. Fall 2020: Starting mid-fielder for the Rhode Island DII State Champions (East Greenwich High School Varsity); scored the winning goal in double overtime.

What Sets Me Apart

• 1. Ambidextrous: I have equal power and accuracy with both left and right feet. I am a corner kick specialist for both high school and club teams.

  3. High Soccer IQ: Coaches play me primarily at mid-field, but also utilize my strong field awareness and vision to play forward and defense, when needed.
  4. Academically competitive: East Greenwich High School is ranked #551 among traditional public high schools in the 2021 U.S. News and World Reports rankings. (3.56 G.P.A)

What I Want In a College Program

• 1. I am looking for a coach who promotes a positive training and playing environment for all of his or her players, and cares about my development as both a player and a person.
  2. I am looking for teammates who put their team ahead of themselves or their self-interest.
  3. I am looking for a school that balances strong academic programs that prepare me for the workforce with a vibrant campus life that offers opportunities for fun and exploration.
