Hi, my name is Ella Reid!
Thank you for viewing my profile! I am currently a junior in high school with a desire to play collegiate-level soccer.
I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. My strengths include coachability and soccer IQ. Almost every coach I have had has complimented me on these. I am focused and determined to becoming the best I can be both on and off of the soccer field. I am constantly working to improve my game.
Academically, I am a strong student with a 4.28 GPA. I love the challenge of competing against strong soccer teams while tackling AP Physics 1, AP Calculus BC, Honors English 3, Human Anatomy & Physiology and Forensic Science in the classroom. My ultimate goal is to become a Pediatric Cardiologist.
In fact, in a few weeks I will be going on a Medical Service Trip to the Dominican Republic with Moses Brown School where we will be providing direct medical care to a primarily Haitian community of sugar cane workers living in their tiny villages called "Bateyes". I am thrilled and humbled to have been chosen to be a part of this team!
Additionally, this upcoming summer of 2023, I will be volunteering at Rhode Isand Hospital and Hasbro Children's Hospital as an Infection Control Ambassador in the Dept of Epidemiology where I will be monitoring and documenting hand hygiene compliance. I will also be working as a Lifeguard at the Tiverton Yacht Club pool.
I am so excited to talk with you!
Best,
Ella
