I aspire to become the best at whatever I set my mind to. Over the years I have played soccer representing my school teams as well as a premier club. At Chariho High School I have played starting varsity since freshman year as a center back defender. In addition, I have always been a starter on my premiere club team, GPS, playing the same position. I am a leader both on and off the field. In 2018 I was awarded First Team All-Division for the State of RI. In 2019 I was awarded Third Team All-State, First Team All-Division, and All-Tournament Team for the state of Rhode Island. I have also been appointed Captain for the upcoming 2020 season. I have also received the Rookie of the Year award for my highschool Lacrosse team where I am also a starting defensive varsity player. I currently have a 4.0 GPA taking a rigorous course load of AP classes and have received highest academic honors. In 2018, 2019, 2020 I placed in RI for the Future Business Leaders Of America where I hold the position of vice-president. In 2019 I represented RI in a national competition in San Antonio Texas and I am eligible to represent the state again this summer at the national conference. I am a leader of varsity athletics above substance abuse and have been an active member for the past two years. In VAASA I mentor children at local middle schools regarding substance abuse by facilitating presentations where I help explain the negative effects of drugs, while also providing examples of other ways to have fun. I am vice president of my high school class, as well as participating in over 7 clubs. I was awarded rookie of the year for my high school lax team, in 2019 after never playing the sport.
I am proud to say I have never lost interest in the game of soccer. At times the soccer ball has been my best friend, other times my teacher. The game of soccer has taught me the value of teamwork, perseverance, sacrifice, commitment, hard work and leadership, all important qualities that I will carry throughout my life to further my success.
I am looking for an institution that will fit my academic needs of preparing me for success in the future all while playing soccer, the game I love. I know I have what it takes to assist your team to achieve success and will continue to conduct myself with loyalty and respect both on and off the field.
