Tia Schaffer SX A...Personal Statement
My collegiate goals would be to play soccer at a high level while exceeding academically. I aspire to grow stronger both mentally and physically throughout the years, and to be in an environment that allows me to continue pushing myself every day so that I can keep striving for greatness.
Being both a full-back and a center-back, I have become very confident in the back line, and I have attained a remarkable ability to smell danger before it becomes a threat. I'm your modern attacking back that is very adaptable and flexibly able to play in any 3,4,5 back chains. Along with that, I am both technically and tactically proficient, and I have the speed and endurance to perform all game with consistency. Overall, I am a natural born leader, and I have a certain leadership style that demands a standard from my teammates without requiring words. I am always there for my teammates if they need help on and off the field, and I am vocal on the field to ensure that everyone stays locked in the game.
What sets me apart from other recruits is that I am quick at learning and I am extremely coachable. I am able to adapt with ease to new challenges and succeed while doing so. Along with these qualities, I am also respectful and resilient, no matter the circumstance. I am extremely courteous to my coaches, teammates and others around me, and throughout every set back, I always come back stronger no matter the occasion.
