I could start this off by making an analogy about how soccer sustains me, and how i can't live without it. Which I could, but I definitely wouldn't want to. In all simplistic honesty, I want to continue with soccer in college because I love this sport. I see soccer as a cornerstone in my life. I love the feel of cleats, the sense of pride as I step onto the field, the constant companionship of a ball at my feet. I love this sport; and no matter how much I loose, no matter how much it hurts, no matter how hard I push myself, I will always get up the next day and gladly do it again. That is what I call love.
In third grade my parents made the decision to place me on a local soccer team. They did this because the energy that radiated off of me was too much to handle. Because I got invested in the sport later on than most people, I was behind the other players. I soon rose to their level and managed to excel from there. I had to adapt to many new environments due to the fact that we moved houses twelve times in fifteen years. However, once we settled in Tennessee, I could focus my priorities on growing as a teammate and a student. Not only can I adjust to fit my location, I am versatile on the field. Although my main focus is center back, I can implement my skills in many other position. The skills I bring to potential future teams is my speed, determination, and dependability. I am a determined, self-driven individual; who appreciates humor on many levels. Although it won't appear that way at first because it takes some time for me to break out of my shell; but once I do, I can get along with almost everyone and unleash my true easygoing and aspirational personality.
