My name is Ava Garrett and I have been playing soccer since I was four years old. I have had my fair share of ups and downs throughout the years, however I have stuck with it because of how much I enjoy playing my game. I have been a varsity starter for my middle and high school teams since sixth grade, and that has driven to keep my starting spot and consistently get better. Soccer for me is an outlet where I can put all of my struggles and disappointments behind me and compete with people I love while playing a sport that has yet to fail me. I grew up in a family who didn't understand soccer and they yet have been supportive enough to push me to my limits. They continue encouraging me to be the better, as they learn the sport in order to understand my goals and aspirations.
Throughout college I will strive to fulfill my aspirations of following the career path that will lead me to my highest potential, while playing the sport I love. I desire a college experience that meets my athletic goals as well as motivates me to thrive in my academics and provides me with a meaningful, lifelong career. In my academics I have always been driven to be the top of my class, I've maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my whole academic life and will continue to do so in the following years.
I want to play for a team that has an inclusive family atmosphere as well as the competitive nature that will make me reach my full potential.
