~~In 2012 I tore my ACL in my left knee and in 2014 I tore my right ACL, and I am currently back on the field and even stronger than before. The countless physical therapy and doctors appointments have made me into the strong willed and determined athlete I am today. I have learned to never give up, and that in order to succeed, there are going to be bumps in the road along the way. And with that bad i must use it to my advantage. There could've been multiple times where I could've given up, and if I had've chosen to give up at those specific times I would not be where I am today. Thanks to those around me, I have been inspired to want more for not only myself but also for my family. I have been playing soccer for at least 13 years, and I could not imagine my future without the beautiful game.
Ultimately, I think playing at the collegiate level would not only help me further my career in soccer, but also help me to develop my skills and techniques more as I also aspire to be not only a top D1 athlete but also a professional athlete. Athletically I am always striving to be and do more than my teammates and opponents. When I walk on the field nothing else matters and I always leave the field with a smile regardless of the outcome, because I know that I performed to the best of my ability. I play every game just like it is my last, and I never give up on my team. I have the desirability and determination to want more for my team and also myself.
I volunteer a lot around my community and I absolutely love helping others who are in need of comfort and support. I also enjoy working with children and volunteering at soup kitchens. I am actively involved in organizations around my community such as Habitat for Humanity and MIFA Meals on wheels just to name a couple.
Academically, I am always on top of my work and I am very diligent in completing all assignments. School isn't a huge struggle for me because I am always seeking help where it is needed, and am willing to do whatever it takes to make sure my grades are in order. My mom reminds me everyday that academics are top priority and that no one can ever take your education away from you. I value this and everyday I enter the classroom, I take these things into consideration. I know there may a lot of athletes who say they want to be D1 athletes, but I can do more than say that I want to be a D1 athlete, I can prove it as well
