My name is Kayla Newbern and I am a 2024 graduate from El Paso Texas. I have taken Pre-AP and AP classes for science, math, history, and english to challenge myself academically and be prepared for college. I can offer you a player with really good stamina who can play at a fast pace for 90 minutes. I am not a selfish player and believe in distributing the ball when it is necessary or better for the team. I do not have a problem in making plays on my own when that is needed as well. I have played club soccer for Cosmos FC for 9 years and played the game since I was four. I am a dedicated player and I don’t miss practice or games, even when it is convenient to do so. On my club team, I have played as a Center Back for many years, but I also play full back when asked by my coach.
I am open to any school that offers both a strong education and a higher level of play. I would prefer to attend a larger school with strong academics. I am hoping to be accepted into a college that has a great balance in academics for health sciences as well as a great soccer team. One of my goals is to play at the highest level of competition possible and to make a positive impact on the team that I play on by helping the program and my teammates.
