Carly Gekas '23 Recruiting Profile

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t playing soccer.  It has been my sport from the moment I got my first soccer ball at age 4.  Growing up I had the benefit of having my dad coach and teach me the game he loved and his foundation and belief has set me on this journey. I realized that I had the skills and determination to play at a higher level and needed to surround myself with better competition to continue to develop and grow. I made the move and my transformation has been through studying the game, hard work and being “coachable.” I am driven to be the best I can be and to give myself a chance to play at the collegiate level.  I am known for my work ethic and focus and I believe 100% that hard work pays off and that equals minutes on the field.
