Kaitlyn Vance '23 Recruiting Profile

I began playing soccer at the age of three and since then I can say that I have truly fallen in love with the sport! 

I am an accomplished defender who is used to playing fierce competition in the top club division.  For the past 5 years I have been the starting center back on the Dallas Texans DA team which is now ECNL.  In all of my years playing soccer I have learned many things such as how to communicate effectively with people, good decision making,  fostering teamwork, and perseverance which I use in my personal life as well.  A few of my greatest successes have been in defeat.  

I am a leader.  As center back I communicate continuously throughout the game and lead not only the back line but my team as a whole.  I also have great field vision and awareness.  I am constantly finding small gaps to play through and I am always aware of my teammates positions to find feet.  

I am committed with a strong work ethic.  Outside of team practices, I work on my skills at home and also attend small group technical trainings.  Off the soccer field, I work on strength and agility four to five hours a week.   However, not only am I solid and consistent athletically but I am exceptional academically.  I maintain a 3.91 / 4.0 GPA while taking PreAP/AP classes, including AP Spanish IV.  Academics is very important to me as I am looking to pursue a major in International Business or Finance/Economics. 

I am seeking a program that will be a good fit for both my high academic and competitive desires.  I believe that I have the athletic ability,  strong work ethic, leadership skills, and character to make a significant difference in your program!
