I am first a Christian young lady. I graduate in 2018. My GPA is a 4.2. My class rank is 74 out of 595 as a sophomore at Monterey High School. I have been selected to be the Diabetes Youth Ambassador for 2015-16. I was chosen as Top Plainsmen out of the freshman class of 675 students as a freshman and Top Plainsmen out of a sophomore class of 594 this last year. This is an award given to one girl and one boy from each class each year. It is given by a vote of the student body and teachers . I am involved in FCA, Kick it to Bullying, Young Life, and my church youth group. I try hard to be the best leader I can be on and off the field. I have to be to play in the goal. I have been playing up a year in club soccer since I was able to start club and up 2 to 3 years on 98 and 97 teams from 2012-2014. I have been playing for the Dallas Texans ECNL U16 team since 2014. I am now playing for Sting Soccer Club ECNL/Composite teams and Byron Nelson High School. I made the varsity team as a starter at Monterey High School as a freshman and sophomore. I now start for Byron Nelson High School. So far this year, I was selected as one of the top two goalies selected to the National Elite Prep Showcase All Tournament Team out of 32 teams. I was also selected to the TeamSnap 2017 Winter All American Watch list. As a freshman goalie at Monterey High School, I was awarded Overall MVP in District, First Team all Region in Texas, AJ newspaper newcomer of the year and all city team, Fox News athlete of the week, and was the feature athlete in Reagor/Dykes "Lets Roll" magazine. As a sophomore, I was awarded Overall MVP in District, First Team All Region in Texas, and the AJ newspaper Goalie of the year/Soccer Super Team. I plan on playing soccer at the D1 or D2 level while obtaining a degree in Pre-Med. I have type 1 Diabetes. My goal is to work with young kids with diabetes, helping them through the tough times when they are diagnosed. I personally know that when I was first diagnosed that I didn't want to huge or kiss on my family because I thought I would get them sick. It was hard at age 7. When I set my goals I do everything I can to get there. In soccer, I train with my high school team daily and have privates two to three times a week. I use to travel to practice in Dallas as much as possible and play around the state every weekend. I know live in Dallas and train three times a week with my Sting team. I work hard at whatever I am doing and push others to do the same. I want to be at a university that will not only allow me to accomplish my goals of being a strong leader on and off the soccer field, but my career goals as well.
