Participating in the US Soccer Region Championships and the Dallas Cup to then be champions of the Disney Girls Showcase, were definitely some amazing experiences in my club soccer career. Through all the wins and loses you learn a lot about yourself and the true gift of being an athlete.
There are many similarities when it comes to soccer and school. Both involve competition and drive you to strive for the best. From exposing myself to Pre-Ap and College classes throughout my journey in school I have learned to overcome the obstacles of mental fatigue and difficult situations that can then be reflected in my sports. At times when other athletes are mentally worn out or just struggling to push themselves past challenging times I can and will continue to keep working to success.
From being a striker/winger to an outside back I have seen both sides of the game. To being a team player and then being named Captain and having to lead a team I have learned how to help and do my part for my team as well as being a leader and helping guide and motivate my team towards our common goal.
Being not only an athlete but a student as well I plan to study Kinesiology to become an Orthopedic Physician.
