My name is Emma Beavin. I began my freshman year at Real Salt Lake Academy High School where I was the starting varsity keeper. Our team did well and took second in state that year. My sophomore year I transferred to Cedar Valley High School where we made it to the quarter finals for 5A. We didn't allow a goal until the second to last region game of the season. My junior year we made it to the semi-finals for 5A and I placed 1st in the region and in the top 2 in the state for shutouts. I work hard in school and strive to be the best student and athlete I can be. Currently, I play in the Elite 64 with my club team. I have always had a passion for playing in the goal. When I was first starting out with soccer at age 6 there were no goalkeepers on my games yet I always felt the need to stay back and block the goal. It was a natural fit for me and I have loved developing my skills as a keeper. I have a been very fortunate to work with great coaches through both comp and high school soccer and I look forward to working with great college coaches as well.
Outside of soccer, I love playing video games and woodworking. My favorite video game is ARK, and if you've never heard of it, ask. It's awesome. Any chance I can create or use my hands is fun for me! I once traveled to Italy to play soccer on a select team and had an incredible experience. The food there was amazing and I can't wait to go back. I think it's important that coaches know that I am a hard worker with a low tolerance for nonsense when it's time to train. I embrace the high pressure moments of the game and am perfectly fine having to step up in big moments to make a save when my team needs it.
