Courtney Burbidge '27 Recruiting Profile

I played my first organized soccer game at age 3 and have had a ball at my feet ever since. I love the games, training, team practices, studying film, and watching college and pro games. I just can't seem to get enough soccer. I have quick feet and a good field presence. My coaches have often told me I am "soccer smart" and I have a reputation for making good decisions in tricky situations. As a starter on a top-ranked ECNL team, I work hard to be kind and supportive and lead from the back, bringing out the best in my teammates on and off the field. I have a strong work ethic and work rate and do my best to maintain a happy personality and positive outlook. I am coachable and I recognize that there is always more to learn and room for improvement. I have great stamina and can play hard from whistle to whistle. Outside of soccer, my conditioning has allowed me to be successful in Track and Field (100m, 200m, 400m & 1600m), Indoor Track, Cross Country, and Triathlon.

Not only do I work hard to give 100% at every training, but also in the classroom. I know how to manage my time to do my best in soccer and school. I am on the High Honor roll with a 4.0 GPA, ranked #1 in my class. My favorite classes are Chemistry, Art, Math, Biology and Human Development. I am working toward a future career in medicine, focusing on either obstetrics or pediatrics. Outside of school, I am actively involved in my community, and I participate in several youth service groups that volunteer at various events. My goal is to attend a college where I can challenge myself in both academics and athletics. I want to play at the highest level possible, while positively impacting myself and others. But above all else, I want to become a well-rounded person and role model to those around me, making my Savior and family proud.
