My name is Brielle Hoskins. I go to Snow Canyon High School in St. George, Utah. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters, and I am the third child. My family enjoys the outdoors. Some of my favorite things to do with my family are going boating at Lake Powell, where I like to wakeboard, tube, and cliff jump. We like going snowboarding at Brian Head, and playing sports just about anywhere. I also love to hang out with my friends, watch movies, and play basketball. Last season my high school basketball team won the Utah State Championship in 3A. In my church organization, I serve in the leadership of a group of young women and once a week I serve as a youth leader for a special needs group. I have been a certified soccer official for 3 years and referee in our local soccer association.
I would consider myself an excellent student and currently I am taking two AP classes. These require a lot of work but I have always been committed to do my best in school and I believe that when I work hard in the classroom that I will also work hard on the soccer pitch, basketball court and any other aspect of my life. I would like to go into Nursing and become a Registered Nurse.
I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. I have always had a passion for the game . When I started playing competitive soccer at about age 10, I played the center midfield position. When I made the high school team, I was moved back to center defense position. I also played a lot of full back this season. I would consider myself a very versatile player. I can win any ball out of the air and I am good at finishing set pieces. In our playoff games, I was the second leading scorer on my team with scoring 4 goals. Setting personal goals for soccer was very important to me. Each game, I would write my goals on a piece of athletic tape and stick it on my shinguard. This kept me accountable to myself and my teammates to try and accomplish these goals. One of my long term goals has been to play soccer at the next level. I would be a good teammate, a hard worker, a good leader. I would respect my coaches and would try to make a difference for my team!
