I am a junior at rural school in Vermont, with aspirations to major in political science and pursue a career in law. Throughout my academic journey, I have consistently demonstrated dedication, self-sufficiency, and drive. With a 4.264 GPA and being first in my class, I have a proven track record of excellence recognized by my teachers, supervisors, and within my local community.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I have coached youth soccer and figure skating, and I have refereed soccer in my community for the past four years. These experiences have taught me valuable lessons in overcoming challenges, working with others, managing my time, and maintaining mental, social, and physical fitness. Over the years, I have found great joy in seeing the improvement of the athletes I have mentored and coached. Recently, I was honored to be named the 2024 Volunteer of the Year by the Vermont Soccer Association for my lasting impact as an assistant coach for the Barre Soccer Club U10 boys team.
I live and breathe soccer all year long. Playing soccer on various teams throughout my life has equipped me with the skills to be a better leader and has helped me become more adaptable to new people and environments. Starting soccer at the age of six and progressing from recreational leagues to club teams, to high school varsity, to ODP, and now to ID college camps has provided me with exposure to different coaching styles and made me a better player. This journey also allowed me to form lifelong friendships with other players. While playing soccer in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, and Spain, I was able to communicate with local boys and girls through the sport, even when language barriers existed. This was a wonderful experience.
This past season, I was named for First Team All-State for Division II and First Team for the Capital Division!
I look forward to continuing to play soccer in college and becoming part of a new soccer family.
