I have been playing soccer since I was in kindergarten. Obviously soccer wasn't something I saw myself doing in the long run when I was little. Now though, I have a new perspective.
I feel my parents are the main influence on my life and who I am. They have shown me right from wrong in life. They let me lead the way in my choices and help guide me to make the best choices for me.
Playing soccer, I have realized that I'm a very competitive person in everything I do. I am a leader on and off the field, and I can do anything I put my mind to.
I am not just a soccer player, I'm a student first. I put school before my sport. In High school, I would like to accomplish being in the National Honor Society and completing High school as a high B and A student. When I go into college, I would like to major in zoology. I love animals and have always wanted to do something in that field.
My biggest obstacle in my soccer career would be when I started being a goalkeeper at the age of twelve. I didn't know much about that position and didn't know how much time and effort it took. I struggled with thinking I am not good enough and that everything was my fault. I overcame this obstacle within the first year. I realized I am good enough as long as I keep working hard and training to improve. I also learned that it's not just me out there on the field. There are ten other players so, a goal is not all my fault, it involves everyone.
I believe that I am a good leader and that I can push others around me to do their best as well as myself. I possess great technical ability and am very vocal.
