Personal Statement

Growing up I was told by everyone around me that "actions speak louder than words," and I have experienced that the hard way. I am saying this because many people can say what others want to hear. In that case, let me show otherwise. Give me a chance to prove how different of a player I really am. I fell in love with soccer ever since I was 5, and I have always been the first player on the field and the last player off. I am a 4th year varsity player and was the only freshman my freshman year to make the varsity team. This next upcoming season will be my 4th year on varsity. Currently in school, I am a part time running start student at Green River College and also apart of DECA. In other years of schooling I have taken leadership classes and was elected treasurer. My senior year I will be involved in an AP art class (photography), leadership, DECA and the Humane society club. After I graduate high school I would like to pursue a BFA in photography and possibly a masters or bachelors degree in communications. Throughout the years of playing soccer I have been on many different teams, all with different playing levels, which has helped me make many relationships with various people. I am very compassionate in everything I do and will always put forth my best effort. I always strive to improve myself everyday to become a better person off and on the field. On the field I am very tenacious and have been told by each of my coaches that I have a very creative mindset that makes me stand out from most players. No player is perfect and when I lose the ball I have the work-rate and mindset to win the ball back to correct my mistakes. Off the field I am very loyal, trustworthy and supportive person. I love to help others and to make relationships and memories that last a lifetime. Everyone is an equal, and deserves at least one chance in life. I understand my actions impact me and everything around me. Therefore, I take them seriously and know what is morally right and wrong. Thank you, I look forward to meeting you!

Training

  • Keelin Winters
  • 2 years
  • Trained with Coach Keelin privately for 2 years while she played for the Seattle Reign and almost made the USA women's National team. She was like the older sister I never had. I then had to discontinue training with her as she decided to become a fire fighter and was focusing on that then eventually got married.
  • Ellie Reed
  • 1 year
  • After Coach Keelin got busy she wanted me to be in good hands to still train so she set me up with her good friend Coach Ellie who played on Seattle Reign with her too.
  • Danielle Foxhoven
  • 1 year
  • After Coach Keelin got busy she wanted me in good hands. Therefore, she set me up with Coach Ellie but also Coach Dani who played on Seattle Reign as well.
  • Eugene Poublon
  • 1 year
  • I used to play at a club called Pacific Northwest Soccer Club. When I played there and finished my training with Coach Keeling, Coach Ellie, and Coach Dani, I then started training with Eugene who played professionally in the Netherlands, Ajax and AZ Alkmaar, and then came to the U.S to play with the Seattle Sounders.
  • Legerity Sports Performance - James Laurence
  • 1 year
  • Legerity is a sports place intended to help athletes with their "speed, movement, and power." Legerity was founded by James Laurence. James Laurence is the founder, president, and CEO. James Laurence, also called Coach J, played at Western Washington University (WWU), where he played football and basketball. Prior to earning a scholarship at WWU, he played football and ran track & field for the Antelope Valley College Marauders. After 17 years of playing experience and getting a bachelors degree in exercise science he then went to pursue his dream of training young athletes and made Legerity Sports Performance. For the time I was with him he helped trained me physically and mentally.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
