Mya Joseph '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mya Joseph, I gradate High School in 2023. 

I am a determined and hardworking player who is looking to take soccer to the next level, playing in college. I love the game and have a passion for it, I have been playing since I was 4 years old and cannot imagine not having soccer be part of my life.   

I’ve been playing Premier level soccer for 8 years and made Varsity in 2019 as a Freshman at Hazen High School.  In 2019, I was selected to the U17 Trinidad National Team to compete in the World Cup Qualifiers.  Unfortunately due to the Covid pandemic, that got put on hold but I'm looking forward to my next chance to compete and represent Trinidad.

What sets me apart from other players is my dedication on and off the field. I am a reliable and versatile player who rarely misses a practice or game and who puts in the extra work outside of practice with private soccer training, speed/agility training and strength training.  I’m able to play multiple positions and am comfortable shooting, dribbling, passing and crossing the ball from both sides of the field. 

My dedication to soccer also translates into my academics, being a student athlete requires not only dedication but also discipline and organization.  My goal is to be part of a supportive and competitive soccer program and team and hope to grow as an athlete, student, and individual in college.
