Alicia Jenkins '24 Recruiting Profile

I am Alicia Jenkins, an OM/defender currently playing for Mead Senior High School and Spokane Sounders.

"Don't wish for it. Work for it."  Not only do I hold this motto to be true on the field, I hold it true to my everyday life. I believe you simply will not get anywhere in life without putting in the work. I am a very driven person who doesn't just like soccer but loves soccer, loves to learn, and grow not only as a player but as a person.  I'm the student and athlete that will put that work in. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to obtain my goals. I'm passionate about pursuing my education while playing the sport I love. I am determined to have success not only on, but off the field. 

What sets me apart from other players is that I'm very coach-able. I'm always ready to learn and to put new knowledge into action . I pride myself on my versatility as a player, yes I love my prime positions, but I'm always ready and willing to change positions wherever is needed. I love being challenged and I pride myself on rising to the occasion no matter the situation. I've never been one to accept or fear failure, I push those boundaries within myself in order to develop into the best player I can be.  I believe there's always room to grow.  

As a teammate, I enjoy working within the team construct. I always strive to put the teams success over my individual success. I hope to bring my skills and positive winning attitude to any team I play on.  I love to challenge and uplift those around me to be the best player they can be. I bring liveliness and passion to the field. I have the ability to make meaningful connections and I tend to leave a strong positive impact on people around me. I am a player that will support and encourage my teammates. I'm a player who you can view as a leader.
