Personal Statement
Hello, I'm Samantha Richmond. I started playing soccer when I was four years old. Then it was just something for me to do, but it slowly turned into a sport that made me who I am today. Without soccer I wouldn't be as strong, mentally or physically, as I am now.
What makes me different than other players is that I'm dedicated. When I started playing for travel, in 5th grade, I played for two different teams for two years. One being a Marshall County rec. team, and the other being FC Wheeling United. Now I play year-round and train six days a week, whether it be practice or strength and conditioning at Pyles Elite. I also help coach a U12 co-ed rec. team in the Spring.
My goals for college are to just grow as a person, learn as much as I can, make friends, and to just have a fun and safe experience with learning and soccer.
