Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Alexa Carr I have been playing Soccer since I was in 3rd grade and I also play basketball which I have been playing since 7th grade. I became very interested in soccer when I started seeing all the other kids playing it and loving it. Soccer is definitely my sport because I can take my aggression out on the field and push myself harder than I would like to be pushed. While I’m playing soccer I have noticed that I am very intense and aggressive and I take my frustration and anger out on the ball. When I’m playing the world fades and my attention is on the game. I am very coachable and I can take constructive criticism whenever I need it, i’ll  whatever helps me get better. When it comes to my team they are my family at the end of the day no matter what and I would do anything for them, I most definitely am a team player I am always there to encourage and help others out even if I can’t do it myself.

When it comes to leadership I always take leadership for my team. Whenever something needs to be said that is either appropriate or helpful I say it, but when it comes to negative things I do not deal with that because I will not put my team down.  I have been through a lot as I have grown up it was not easy for me as a child, but it sure has made me the person I am today. My dad is not in the picture because he did very cruel things to me and my sister. I do not stand by anything like that, but what I do know is it made me the person I am today and influenced my life so much. I still have trouble overcoming that fear of somebody doing that again, but I can feel when something isn’t right which helps me. I do not have a father figure obviously. Some people don’t know my story like others do.

College is one thing I have always thought about to take me away from all the conflict at home when I graduate. When I go to college I plan to be an occupational therapist as of right now or a athletic trainer. I like a challenge and I feel both these will be challenging between whichever I decide. I have received an english award a couple times, but I am very good at math classes I always have been, and I have always had the highest math grade. I do help my school out for community service because I love my school and I love keeping up with all that it entails . I also am willing to always help out with anything our athletic director needs from us as athletes. Whether it is helping with concessions or doing our field clean up for our turf field every year. Whenever our school needs help I do as much as I can for it.

My life is pretty crazy and chaotic but I manage it everyday. I don’t tell much people about my inside life, but I thought you would like to know about me. I did suffer a lot with bullying but I have pushed through all of that phase and I don’t get bullied anymore. As for you I hope you all can see me and I hope I can be seen and catch your eyes. Have a great day!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
