Sydney Cavender '18 Recruiting Profile

Hello My name is Sydney Cavender and I am captain of the WV All-state team & Kanawha Valley player of the year for 2018. I am a forward 5'8" 147 lbs. with a 3.6 GPA and 23 ACT. I love the game, I love big moments, and creating history! I am captain of the 3 times State Champion Winfield High school Generals. I have been proven to come through in the biggest games and many people describe me as clutch. I am the only girl in WV Soccer History to score in 3 consecutive state championship (4 goals total and 1 assist), and I am a consistent scorer averaging 27 goals a season and  scored 40 goals in 2017 . I use my power and quickness to create separation to find the back of the net. I play well in traffic and in the air. I am very competitive by nature and a never back down on the pitch.  I am a team first player and enjoy  a great assist as much as a great goal! While I play forward, I am capable of contributing all over the field and am often pulled back to assist the defense once my team establishes a lead.  I am looking for a team that prioritizes winning, knows how to work hard and holds each other accountable. I know there is a great fit for me out there!
