Hi there! My name is Lilli Rick.
As I get closer and closer to graduating high school and leaving for college, the more excited I've become at the chance to get to play soccer in college with a team full of talented girls, and for a skilled and enthusiastic coaching staff. I hope to gain from their experience to improve myself so I can be a contributor to our team's success on the soccer field.
I consider myself to be a great teammate, someone who understands that a team can only succeed if everyone is working toward the same goal. Whatever task I am asked to perform to help the team will be what I focus on to the best of my ability. I also believe that how you practice is how you play. I plan on leading by example by working hard in practices, and in games by never giving up on the playing field no matter the circumstances.
Ultimately my goal in college is to graduate with a degree in Architecture while at the same time getting to play the sport I've loved since I was a little girl. I think that my artistic creativity that will help in my architecture studies is also present in my soccer game. In soccer I don't like to be predictable and have always sought to try creative outside the box ways to make a good pass, to break free from the defense, or to fool the goalie.
My strengths as a player include:
7) My overall athletic ability. In addition to soccer, I am also a varsity letter winner in Basketball, and in "Boys" Football. During the 2021 football season, I was the starting field goal kicker and made 80% of my attempts. I was also a multi-year middle school conference champion in hurdles, and a level 5 gymnast.
In terms of academics, I am currently ranked number 1 in my class out of 400 students. My PSAT score qualifies me for National Merit consideration. I've always enjoyed school and learning new things. My favorite subjects include art and math.
Thank you for your time and I hope you give me a chance and include me in your recruitment process!
