Hi. My name is Anna Winter. I have been swimming competitively for six years. I was on a summer league team when I was young. Since I in the summer I decided to join my local USA Swimming club team. I love swimming because it stimulates me physically and mentally. In the future, I want to grow in my sport and be a role model for the younger kids on my team! I have learned that I love to push myself and strive for other things while swimming. I learned this during the Covid pandemic when all the pools were closed, and I had to do other things to keep improving while I was out of the pool. My goals for swimming are to swim collegiately and to make my junior national cuts. Additionally, I want to do well in all my strokes.
School is essential to me. I work hard in school to do the best I can do. I have taken multiple math and science classes already throughout my high school career. I am taking AP Calculus this year (sophomore), and I will also be taking AP environmental (sophomore). I love learning about math and science, so I use the opportunities given to me to learn about the subjects I love! I have a 4.0+ GPA, and I am striving to keep that average up! Education is of interest to me, so I would love to go to a school with high educational standards and values.
I hope this gives you insight into who I am as a person, athlete, and student. Thanks for reading!
