My name is Ashley Ko, and I am a grade 11 student at Alpha Secondary School and a swimmer of the Langley Olympians Swim Club. Swimming has shaped my character and instilled in me a strong sense of discipline, perseverance, and determination. I have developed my skills and reached many goals through endless hours of training and competition. However, my path as a swimmer is also about my passion for swimming and the unwavering support I receive from my coaches, teammates, and family. I am deeply grateful for the experiences, teachings, and connections that swimming has provided me, and I am excited to continue pushing my limitations in this journey.
Beyond swimming, I am involved in a variety of extracurricular activities, such as founding the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fundraising Club, where I have helped to make a difference in my community for the past two years. Furthermore, as a coach for the high school swim team and treasurer of the student council, I have improved my leadership and teamwork abilities. Although, I am eager to continue my path as a swimmer, I aim for excellence both in and out of the pool.
