Hailey Thomson '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Hailey Thomson, I am a senior at Prince George Secondary school which is located in British Columbia, Canada. I have been competitively swimming from age 6 onwards.  The past 6 years I have been swimming with the Prince George Barracudas.  I’ve always enjoyed swimming and pushing myself to my limits especially when the task/race seems daunting.  When I asked my teammates what kind of role I fill on the team they say I fill a leadership role in keeping the team together and boosting people up. I am extremely proud of the dedication and passion I put towards my pursuit of bettering myself as a swimmer.  I currently train 15 plus hours a week.  Although I spend a large amount of time swimming I work very hard to keep my grades high.

My post secondary goals are both athletic and academic. Not only do I want to swim at the collegiate level I also want to obtain a degree in business then apply to Law school. I recently became a swim instructor/lifeguard  and have loved teaching children with the experience I’ve gained over the years. Some of my other interests include reading, hanging out with friends, and video games.
