Kennadie Sheppard '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi there. My name is Kennadie Sheppard. I have been swimming for the past 7 years both in summer (Nanaimo White Rapids) and year-round with Island Swimming based out of beautiful Victoria, BC.  I love what swimming has given to me with regard to aiding me with amazing time management skills, how it has taught me over the years how to win and lose with grace, along with teaching me to become a very dedicated individual which has also translated well with my academic journey.

I have a passion to go into Medicine. This has been a passion for me for years now. I want to go to a college/university that will help me reach my goals academically and as an athlete. School is just as important to me as swimming. A university with high standards of education is one that I can see myself attending, as well as one that has an amazing team environment.  I am looking for a team that works well together in and out of the pool and one that keeps reaching for that next goal.  I am looking for a team that has an amazing athlete/coach relationship and also great team spirit😊

 I have been told by every coach I have had that I am very coachable and well-liked.   I am there for my teammates and always willing to help out in any way I can. I am looking forward to continuing that with you!

Finally, I am proud to say I am graduating in 2024 as am a full year ahead of graduation requirements.  I work hard and dedicate myself to whatever I set my mind to.
