Hello!
My name is Katelyn Little and I am a swimmer in the class of 2023. I have a driving passion to succeed and push myself to understand my body's capabilities and to improve my times in the water.
I have been swimming since I was eight years old, but it wasn't till age 13 that I decided to swim for a club team. I am a dual sport athlete; a midfielder on my high school team and a swimmer on my high school varsity team. Swimming became a true passion of mine when I realized what I was capable of during my freshmen year of swim season on the Junior Varsity team. As my times in the water decreased I grew to love the feeling of sprinting into the wall and looking up to see a personal best on the scoreboard.
While swimming is a passion of mine, my achievements in my academics are just as important to me. I value my education and strive to earn a GPA above 3.8. I enjoy challenging my mind to learn and understand new things. I am enrolled in Honors Chemistry and Honors English II as a sophomore. My favorite subjects are mathematics and sciences. Ending my freshmen year, in 2020, I earned two Espirit De Wolverine Awards at my high school Aliso Niguel(ANHS).
Swimming has taught me so much about the rewards of hard work and discipline. I'm interested in a college that will allow me to further expand my swimming career, while chasing after an education in either Medicine, Nursing, and/or Kinesiology; to continue experiencing the rewards of my hard work and discipline.
